Kevin's site was hacked again last month by defacers of Zone-H. It isn't the first time his site has been hacked. When Mitnick got hack for the first time, it was when he was released from prison. A hacker calling himself "BugBear" added one page to Mitnick's corporate Web site on January 30 2000 with a message, "Welcome back to freedom, Mr. Kevin," and added that "it was fun and easy to break into your box." He included a photograph of a polar bear with two cubs. He did that out of respect for Kevin. This time, there is no sign of respect. The hacker defaced his website and mocked Kevin claiming "he isn't a security specialist after all." Sure, the site got hacked. But my best bet is, that his host got hacked. I think defacers are lame people, sorry but that is how I see it. All they do is deface as many as sites to go up in rank. And for what? the highest rank they can get is utter stupidity. Haven't they learned? don't they know that everyone is vulnerable? No one is secure, there is always a way to enter a system. Sometimes not directly, but through network hopping or just plain password brute forcing. It is like a burglar that has infinite amounts of time to break into a house. He will get inside given enough time. So face it, real hackers know that they will be hacked someday. It is something you accept as a professional.
Mitnick Hacked Again.
